When we designed the extension we had a simple setup like this in mind:

- Root
-- www.test.com
--- Home
--- Menu 1
---- Submenu 1
--- Menu 2
--- Menu 3
--- Menu 4

Indexing of pages within the own root page with no other root pages 
inside them.

Can you sketch your setup?
