[TYPO3-Solr] "Upgrade" from 1.3 to 1.6.2

Hi there,

In an older installation we currently make use of Solr 1.3 (community). 
We would like to use the EAP version there, but preferably without 
having to modify templates or TypoScript.
Is it possible to install the 1.6.2 release as a drop-in replacement for 
the 1.3?
