[TYPO3-Solr] autosuggest takes too long to load

Dear all,
I've managed to run Solr on the website project I'm currently working on. The website itself is quite slow, but that has nothing to do with Solr.

What really takes way too much time (about 8-10 sec) is the autosuggest feature of Solr. Solr, when queried via the admin panel, is superfast, so everything seems to be fine with that.

Any ideas why the autosuggest is taking so long?

Solr version: 1.4.1
TYPO3-Extension version: 1.3.1
TYPO3 version: 4.5.7
