Hi Mischa,

for others having a similar issue, here's the link to the bug report:

It turned out that a "hardened PHP" installation caused the trouble. In 
my case it was an PHP extension called "Suhosin" which limited the 
length of the POST array and also limited the length of the array keys.

So, maybe you've a similar configuration with "suhosin" or "hphp". This 
would also explain that it worked on some servers and didn't on some others.
