no - but I set the dependencies anyway so they will complain if you forgot
one

Well - actually it doesn't make much sense, since these extensions are
mainly designed to extend the tt_content table and provide ICE based on IRRE
for tt_content only.
So if you want to reuse them for other tables as well, you might find some
useful concepts and hints but it will be much more than just modifiying some
parts of the code.

I tested that but found out that it's not very comfortable and in some ways
it could be even dangerous to have the same inline element connected to
different ICE boxes, since it would be removed without further notice if
someone deletes it.

It's less comfortable, because you can't edit the connected element directly
in the parent element when using m:n relations. This is due to the fact that
you don't connect the element as such but an entry from a connection table,
that could of course offer some additional fields of its own (for comments
or a title or whatever) but in this case, we would still need the fields
from the connected element instead.

The goal was to put editable content elements into a box and make this
nestable.

So I decided not to use too many special IRRE features but to concentrate on
a 1:n structure instead to keep it as simple and comfortable as possible.
But still there are those nice features for the BE forms that are giving the
whole stuff a much more sexy appearance than the stuff we know from TV and
FCE.

Not completely
