[TYPO3-extbase-kickstarter] multiple Problems with EB in 6.1

I tried to use the EB to enhance tx_news - and run into multiple problems:

1. using "Map to existing table" and "Extend existing model class" does 
nothing but hides the existing table and replaces it (in the BE) with an 
empty own table. empty means: no fields to edit. which is understandable 
as nowhere a definition for the new fields is stored (neither 
ext_tables.php nor .../TCA.php)

2. I miss the possibility to get a stub to handle files with FAL, only 
/uploads/<extname>/*
(I managed to copy the configuration from tt_content.images to get a 
handling in the BE, but as I don't know how to access these files I only 
get the number of files by the 'default' getter-functions in 
/Classes/Domain/Model/News.php
is there anywhere an example for a getter of FAL-entries?


maybe the EB can insert some examples in different places to guide 
beginners to use the correct code like the kickstarted did?
