Hi,
hooo! Such a long thread guys.
Thanks for your time. (mine too, reading it) ;-)
I think that you will be agree with me that there is not much real
content in your words that will help me to take the decision. :-\
First, my name spells Sylvain. I hope to have more respect with my own
name than with DocTEAM or TYPO3 case spelling. :-P
Well, about translation, if you've read my post about Kasper rely, you
see that he gives us the charge to find a translation workflow. It seems
some of your are often involved in translation, I would be happy that
someone offer part of his time to drive the DocTEAM translation process.
Any volunteer ?
I update the proposed workflow for documentation translation:
http://wiki.typo3.org/index.php/Talk:Alternative_Language#Translation_guideline_.28proposal.29
1. English is the main priority language for TYPO3 documentation.
2. Fix the documentation structure.
3. If translator comes during the step 2 they can:
* Write in English if they can, and ask for grammar and spell
checking.
* If you are foreign speaker and have written a text in your native
language, ask for help about English translation, the DocTEAM will
find some native English reviewer to help you. (? I hope)
4. Translation workflow from English to foreign language, must wait until
we established the structure at step 2, please offer your talent to
something else.
5. If you really need to translate a manual right now, ask the DocTEAM
for help.

Yes, may be, but that old proposition is not bad too:
http://wiki.typo3.org/index.php/Typo3Wiki_bugs_and_suggestions#Multiple_language_documentation
It will help us managing only one Matrix for the moment.
I will also find a process to collect peoples spoken/written language.
