I can understand it, out of the same reason why I wouldn't install 
Microsoft Office or buy a PC

BUT, as of this moment we have two options.

1. Write a document with OOo for typo3.org
2. Write your documentation with the Wiki.

Nr. 1 would be the choice if you want to work alone on that 
documentation and like to have a good GUI.

Nr. 2 would be the choice if you want to share your work load with 
others on a easy bases. Drawback - As of now there is no tool yet that 
converts Wiki to OOo (SXW) and it doesn't look like anyone would like to 
program it.

I really don't want to spoil anybodys enthuisiasm but if we want to get 
anywhere soon, we have to accept the way it is now.
