[TYPO3-dam] Access denied in Media>File

Marianne,

	I suggest you change your server host to Media Temple or similarly 
capable host so that you have more control of your operating 
environment... php.ini, apache, .htaccess, etc., at a cost that is on 
par or less than most shared server type hosts.  They don't do shared 
hosting, at a minimum you get a limited virtual machine on a Grid 
Server/Clustered Computing Environment for 20 bucks a month.  As a side 
note, they would not leave you hanging with your issue at all.  They 
want your app to work on their host, it's a boost for them.

	I put all my clients on MT Grid Servers now. TYPO3 has always caused 
issues with shared hosts for lack of available configuration especially 
regarding memory usage.  I have been with MT for nearly 5 years now and 
am using all of their services sans CX and have never been let down.  I 
call at 3am and a very experienced developer generally picks up the 
phone!  Anyhow, just my two cents.  If this post helped you and you sign 
up with Media Temple please put slipcasemedia.com as the referrer and I 
will donate the fee they put in my account to the TYPO3 Association in 
the name of ECT, lib/div, and IRRE.  I will not focus the attention of 
the funds but rather leave that up to the Associations' monetary directors.
