[TYPO3-dam] to upgrade or to not upgrade ... that is the question :-)

Hi DAM team,

I have a pretty critical problem where the right hand frame is served
with absolutely no source code from the Media->File module.

I have gone through all the recently updated extensions and can't find
a conflict but as people are using this system I need to do something.

I'm thinking about just upgrading to the latest SVN version, which I
know isn't recommended on a production system. Which leads me to my
question. Are there any known bugs that may harm the data? I don't mind
the odd missing feature if there are alternative methods but due to the
following problem I'm seriously considering upgrading to the latest anyway.

Problem:

I found that I the blank screen only came about after I raised the
memory limit above 128M.

Before I raised the limit I was receiving this php error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to
allocate 48 bytes) in
<PATH-TO-TYPO3>/TYPO3_4-1-5/typo3/ext/dam/lib/class.tx_dam_guirenderlist.php
on line 124

I have dam 1.0.11 installed and was considering upgrading to the new
version to avoid this.

Of course I'm not going to hold anyone responsible if something happens!
:-P and we do have regular backups. Just some advice from those in the
know would be very reassuring. :-)

Cheers,
David
