[TYPO3-dam] DAM 1.1 in pipeline

Hi René and others,

The impending 1.1 is great news. Thanks for all your efforts. I find the DAM
very useful.

I have just recently upgraded to 1.0 and Typo 4.0.1. As I was using the DAM
for production, including my own extensions etc, I'm having to do it a bit
of work adapting my code for the new DAM. But now I see your announcement,
so I'm wondering whether to hold off.

My specific question is whether I can have MM tables of my own - not using
mmforeign - to extend the tx_dam table. I'd like to keep them for
compatibility with my other FE code mainly.

Right now when I do processing of a directory full of DAM items, I get an
error in mmforeign - Call to undefined method t3lib_loadDBGroup::init() in
C:\WWW\cms\typo3conf\ext\mmforeign\class.ux_t3lib_tcemain.php on line 138

I haven't yet looked into this in detail, but I was wondering if I should be
trying to fit my own DAM MM tables into the mmforeign structure?
