Typoscript is very powerful if you understood the basics. So I can only 
advise everybody to learn Typoscript. The TS-reference is also quite 
helpful if you stuck at some point.

Could you brief describe what you have done now? Did you exclude the 
uids by hand, or did you use a TSobject with a second query?

Btw. greetings to India. I just noticed your signature (where your name 
would have been clearly visible) when I read your last posting. I never 
noticed it, because Thunderbird is cutting it of when I write a reply 
and I only searched for it in replys. Better open my eyes next time :)
