[TYPO3-caretaker] caretaker_instance extend or caretaker_addon_x ?

Hi,

I have created a VersionControl (svn, git is in pipeline) and DiscUsages 
tests for caretaker, I talked shortly with Tobias (Liebig) about if the 
tests should be in the caretaker_instance as new tests or it should be 
created as an caretaker_addon_x ?

Some uses Nagios or other monitoring systems for discspace monitoring 
etc. So what do you think? Should it be implemented in 
caretaker_instance or should I create and addon?

What is your pros and cons?
