[TYPO3-caretaker] Caretaker: using public or dev version?

Hi all,

I've started digging into caretaker again and I was wondering what you 
advised using: the TER version or the SVN version? Looking at the Forge 
project, much has happened since the last public release and it seems 
valuable to use the development version. What would you advise?
