[TYPO3-performance] Another port instead of :80?

Hi Martin.

TYPO3 doesn't listen to any port, that's completely related to your webserver.
But you need to adjust your config.baseUrl to reflect the changed port.

But when changing the port to something other than 80, you will conflict with HTTP/HTTPS. The internal HTTP/HTTPS-handling just switches between "http://" and "https://" as prefix and relies on using default ports.
When you use e.g. 100 as HTTP-Port, you will use "config.baseUrl = http://mydomain:100/". When HTTP/HTTPS changes are reated by TypoLinks, I expect the resulted links to point to "https://mydmain:100/" -- so the adjusted port now goes for both, HTTP and HTTPS.

I would suggest to always use 80 for HTTP and 443 for HTTPS. I don't see any reason why using something else might be usefull.

Betreff: [TYPO3-performance] Another port instead of :80?

Hello,

Can Typo3 6.1.5 listen on another port instead of :80?

If I set up to typo3 virtualhost to listen on eg 100, it returns 404, when I click on any link in FE.

Thank you for answers.

Martin
