[TYPO3-performance] Backend Performance TYPO3 4.3 - Strange Behavior

Hi,

Ok, thank you for sharing your experience with a greenhorn like me :-)

I would guess, it makes more sense to take a look at the code then (like
Susanne mentioned) - since the problem appeared with TYPO3 4.3 and there was
no need for that particular index until that point indeed.

This is definetly true.

There had been a (extensive but inconclusive) discussion about mysql
tuning and introducing indexes way back in 2006[1]

Some results were written down at the TYPO3 wiki[2]
