Usually the number of translations (of the core) is being used as a
marketing argument, but not more than that. This is stated on .com-Website
and in many presentations by other people.

We don't have a styleguide (yet), so I can't offer you a set of rules,
although the Logo should not be altered or added to. Generally it is
expected that websites state: TYPO3 is an open source project. More
information can be found at www.TYPO3.com.
