Guys and girlies,
One last word from me about the price fighters and if they can harm your
business.
I like to stretch out that there's really one thing that's worth a good
TYPO3 consultancy fee; *quality*.
Ofcourse there're lots and lots of free-lancers who are willing to work
for 30 euro's an hour or even less. But most of them are not able to
implement a high quality TYPO3 site that fits the quality standard of
professional organisations. Let alone the issues like xhtml compliancy
and level 2 accessability that are demanded by the big companies and the
governmental organisations.
So I guess this leaves for the price fighters the low end of the market
that most of you even don't want to be in. So be the best TYPO3
consultant you can be and you get the high-end clients who are not
looking for a cheap shot but a really good website or intranet because
they realise it's a key-asset to their organisation. And the ones that
go for a low price in first instance will hear echo your warnings once
they realise what a shitty implementation they have and will come back
to you.
Cheerio, Sander
