Hello together,
I suggets the following ongoing for the redesign of
edu.typo3.org, demo.typo3.org, www.typo3.org, ...
All of the "in progress sites" should be on webservers in
DNS names, that are unofficial, where we can work on, and
only people that know the DNS can read it. E.g.
For the new demo.typo3.com the "working server" is named
testsite.punkt.de which is definitely unofficial at the
moment. People are working on this, putting in layout and text,
and during this time without any pressure, ec. pp.
When all work is done, we simply wrap up everything on
testite.punkt.de with the script I have shown at the
tour for taking over the content on a typo3-lice cd, extract
it on a new server and switch DNS to this server. So
we can do all changes later on on testsite.punkt.de without
effecting demo.typo3.com...
I suggest the same with all other stuff going on, as this
takes out the the pressure on explaining why some pages
are in non english, and gives the translators more time.
The "old" pages are not as bad as "new pages" in non english,
IMHO.
have fun
Juergen
