[Typo3-marketing] MAMBO Drops GNU/GPL!!

Dear TYPO3ers,

I got the shocking news today from 'our man inside Mambo' that the world 
as we knew it doesn't excist anymore as of today.

What happened? Shortly after Mambo won a prestigious award at the Linux 
Conference (http://linux.sys-con.com/read/117705.htm) the company that 
once created the CMS and still holds the copyright over pieces of the 
code and its brandname Miro (http://www.miro.com.au/) launched a brand 
new Mambo Foundation (http://www.mambo-foundation.org/) without having 
noticed the Mambo core development team or the community. The board of 
this foundation is filled with people from Miro and they've closed out 
all important people of the community.

Miro had it all prepared since they've also taken control of all offical 
Mambo websites like Mamboserver and today everybody saying anything 
critical about this recent move is banned of the official forum 
(http://forum.mamboserver.com/). This has resulted in the strange 
situation that almost all moderators and developers are shutted out!

Next the complete core development team decided to leave all together 
from Mambo and they don't want to have anything to do with Miro or the 
Mambo Foundation anylonger. They have launched a new website with forum 
(http://www.opensourcematters.org/) and have already declared that they 
want to continue development of the CMS under a brand new name. So very 
soon there will be two Mambo's.
For sure the launch of the new version of Mambo which should have come 
out in a few months has been delayed. The new group are getting 
assistence from specialised Open Source Lawyers to assure that they can 
continue the project independant from Miro under a new name.

I wish them luck since they are worthy competition which we need in the 
development of a mature Open Source CMS branche.
