I don't think so. I just want a very soft overhaul, giving us more options
to portion content objects.

That's all nice, but it isn't fitting for the kind of content we have.

Please let's stick to getting that right before discussing styles, ok?
I did not hint at magnolia because of the design and i should have said what
seems favourable to me. So here we go:

Actually, we never decided to use any of the original TYPO3.com designers
ideas for the starting page and ended up with using a regular content page.
Now many people want to make the front page more dynamic, with news, the
stats, some different kinds of teasers (e.g. For case studies and other
content than news). What i am looking for right now, is not so much a new
style for design reasons, but an overhaul that takes what we have and gently
refreshes it to do what we need.

I don't think we'll do ourselves a favour with a radical new design.
Btw. I will also ask Daniel Schubert, the original designer to make a
suggestion.

Hope this is still an interesting challenge for you.

Cheers

Daniel
