Hi everyone, thanks for all the responses, let me address each one..

The link doesn't work for me. So I can't comment.
2. Language Selector would be useful I agree.
3. What i mean is really, that the impression should remain, that this is an

Like any brand identity, updates are important for the appearance for active
community, otherwise we run the risk of making the site appear dormant.

I'm not too conserned about color blindness. They will see a lovely shade of
grey throughout.
5. What about typo3.org ? Is there some facing plan too ?
I think typo3.org will be based along a similar design as choosen for the
typo3.com. We're planning on doing typo3.com because it is the public face
of our community.
6. during the last days i have played around with the typo3.com design for
the
upcoming gov.typo3.com... Have a look at http://gov.typo3.com
This might be very useful, lets discuss this further.
7. Why not using table ? How content are positioned, else ?

Some general Points, This design is meant as a "update" not redesign or
rebranding. It will also take advantage of a tabless xHTML, the .gov might
be a good starting point. Right now
