Sorry i was too lazy to write down what i had in mind completely :-)

What i mean is really, that the impression should remain, that this is an
almost simplistic and thereby almost timeless layout. So now it would be
advisable in my eyes to reduce the amount of details, which can be colours,
fonts (including those in the banners) and other elememts of the layout.

Otherwise it seems to me we are really weakening the clear identity TYPO3
now has.
 
The great thing about Reuvens approach is that it has so much variety from
the start to choose from. The nect step might be to make a coice about what
changes to adapt and what not to keep.
