hi folks
as announced I send you my few notes about the GOV/EDU/NGO subdomain
discussion:
TOPICS
~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=
Content Part 1:
We decided to gather information/textes/comments for the following
topics which are more or less the same for all 3 target groups/subdomains:
- Trainining (Developer+Contentmanager)
- Accessibility
- Core functions within TYPO3
- Case studies
- Complex decision taking (complex hierarchies, many "decision"
[not-]takers)
- Many users in terms of heavy loads on site
Content Part 2:
There will be also parts which differ for every target group/subdomain:
- Specific functions
- Security issues
- Target group of the website
if you think there are more topics for any of the target group please
feel free to add it to the list!
DIVISION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=
as stated during the discussion it would be best if for every topic
somebody would take charge of.
Content Part 1:
Dominic Stockdale will try to organise/find people to write something
about these topics.
If I remember right, Andreas Schwarzkopf would write something about
Accessibility (right?).
Content Part 2:
For these topics there will be one person responsible for each subdomain
to gather some people to write content:
EDU: Daniel Hinderink
GOV: Mr. Gov, sorry, I forgot your name. please help me.
NGO: Dominic Brander
DEADLINE
~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=
To be sure we will have at least some content on the website we fixed
mid of 2004 to launch the subdomains.
MY QUESTIONS
~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=~=
In my opinion the content for part 1 is more or less the same content
already available on typo3.com. so probably we just have to rewrite and
add some parts? what do you think?
It does not make much sense to put the same content (common part) on
NGO, GOV, EDU three times. what would be the best way to organize these
three subdomains/parts so they do not "interfere"?
thanks!
dominic
