[Typo3-marketing] Online shared calendar & tools for typeheads??

Forgive me if my thoughts have already been considered previously or if they are already in practice...

Michelle, your thoughts seem to make sense to me.

Furthermore, maybe it would be an idea to have a single international calendar online (e.g. typo3.org) for typeheads to add details of where and when the following are taking place:
* conferences
* presentations
* publications
* etc
This would hopefully aid communication between typeheads.

Also it might be worth having a library of copy that has been used in publications so that it's readily available for others for tweaking for other publications.

This might be viewable by the general public from typo3.com when we're confident there are sufficient events listed. This would possibly help convince some people by adding authenticity and demonstrating buy-in and committment.

  I think, at least for me, that it would be good to have maybe some goals and
  deadlines. I know it is not always easy for everyone to find the time to
  help out in the marketing project, but maybe if we set some goals, it would
  help us collaborate better. For example, if Daniel asked us to supply him

  could make sure that we were working on something he needed and it would

  What do you think about something like this?

  Three things I'm working on now are:
  1. Speaking at more conferences: I have one planned at the end of next month
  called HeLIX (Higher Education Learning eXchange) and will be presenting a
  T3 presentation. Hopefully I will have a very large one in either Washington
  D.C. or Phoenix, Arizona at the end of the year. I'm still working on
  locating all the conferences.

  2. Exhibiting at conferences: I am looking into buying a tabletop display so
  that I can take it to conferences and exhibit. Problem is that exhibiting
  can be very expensive (even several thousands of dollars). This is mostly
  why I've been sticking to presentations. :)

  3. Writing some T3 comparison lists: I'm trying to write a comparison list
  of features between T3 and other CMSes. I started this project since I have
  been getting a lot of questions from people who want to use TYPO3 but are
  already in a commercial CMS. They want to know what T3 has/doesn't have
  compared to their CMS. It's not easy getting commercial information so it's
  not going as fast as I'd like. I'll make these available when I'm finished.
