Dear all,

- Throughout the TYPO3 presentations, training-courses and similar, we did 
within the last 12 month, one of questions listeners were pretty interested 
was scalability. (Answer as always: DB-Limits: almost infinite, rest is up 
to the hardware);

- Some days ago we held a 7h technical training, during which I 
demonstrated one of our latest TYPO3-customer-installations with more than 
15.000 Frontend-Usern und ~900 Usergruppen. This show-off led to the fact 
that the listeners discarded their presumption of TYPO3 being some kind of 
nice-little-cms (and guided them to serious considerations to drop their 
Oracle-Portal ;-).

Inspired by those events here's my suggestion and question:

SUGGESTION

- Setup a new section on T3.com named
	"Facts + Figures",
	"Scalability"
	"Gigantonomie"
	"Cool Numbers for Executives and others"
	"The TYPO3-Guinness-Book of Records"
	"TYPO3 Real Numbers for Real People"
or something alike,
stating REAL-LIFE, high numbers (Pages, CE, Pageviews + Visits/Timespan, 
BE- and FE-Users, DB-Size, + # of DB-Records ... ), which have been 
realized with TYPO3, so that potential clients can do a reality-check 
against their requirements.

eg:
TYP	Most Visits/Month

FACTS	125 mio Visits with avv. 23 Pageviews / Month
DETAILS	Short Explanation of Business-Needs
HARDWARE	Used Hardware:
	- Webserver: 4 quad-speed IntelPaq Pentreon-Servers with Improbability

Anybody interested - Feedback?

I guess this section would take pretty little effort in creation and 
mantainance.
My guestimate: 1-2 page(s), with ~ 12 Entries / Updates per year.

PS: I'm aware of the fact that this new idea might be perceived as low 
priority as for all the other open tasks on the marketing-list and the 
content-rework on typo3.com, however I beleive will be worth it and can be 
realized in short term.
