As far as I remember looking at mail-headers, many people use the
newsserver. I am just guessing that from the amount of people subscribed,
about the same % is actualy writing (compared mail to news). Of course I
don't know for sure.
And because threads are done properly. You can see that easily with your
mails: You ar enot using a newsreader, many times you start a new topic with
your mails ;-) THat is happening a lot less these days...
