Dear Simon,

you need to install suphp on the server in order to achieve/solve this.
Please contact the server administrator.

Subject: [TYPO3-linux] Directory and File ownership on Plesk

Has anyone managed to get TYPO3 to create directories and upload files
with a sensible (usable) User:group on a shared Plesk based server.

Everything that TYPO3 creates has the user of apache:apache which I then
cannot access with my user account (although I guess typo3 can). The
biggest stumbling block was trying to change the the permissions of
directories created by the install tool.

I have set [BE][createGroup]=psacln which is my users group and that
hasn't made any difference - still apache:apache.

Any thoughts/advice anyone?
Cheers,
Simon
