[TYPO3-linux] pdf is not working with image magick

I have installed the imagemagick 4.2.9 as suggested at the
typo3 doc. all graphics test are running successfully, except
the pdf.
I also have the gs installed and *whereis gs* shows

/usr/local/bin/gs

so, what could be the problem ? could any one kindly provide
any solution ?
