[TYPO3-linux] problem with imagemagick-4.2.9

Dear list,

as typo3 suggests I have downloaded the binaries of
imagemagick-4.2.9. but from the *basic-configuration -> image
processing* menu whenever I check the tests related to
imagemagick it fails to read png,gif,tga,tif,bmp,pcx etc..
imagemagick also fails to write gif,png but GD is working. so
how  can I fix the problem with imagemagick. thnanks in
advanced for your kind
help.
