[TYPO3-linux] Moving a Typo3 site to a new provider

The typo3 forums I've tried all seem to be a bit "clique-ish" and there are no replies for those not in the clique...  Not sure if it's a language thing or if I'm just looking in the wrong places.  If you find anything out, please let me know!

Hi Patrick,

Did anyone give you a suitable answer?

I am running a 3.6.2 site and need to upgrade. I wanted to
move the "site" to a local machine (different DNS name).

I couldn't find a way to do it, the DB seems to contain
"knowledge" of the "real" URL and there is no way it will
operate correctly on a different system.
