[Typo3-linux] Cashing or database... or something?

I have some very weird problems with typo on a hosting machine... Typo3 is
working perfectly on two test machines, but not this one... I must add that
I have no admin access to it.

Anyway, here are some of the symptoms.

I create or change some content... for eg. I enter some text... on first it
shows up in frontent. When I close that "edit" page that inserted text is
nowehere to be found... except when I click show hidden content elements...
and that conent is definitly not hidden. When i click it again.. and make
some more changes, they are not displayed. It still shows old text.

Other similar thing is when I changed Page Config configuring RTE... I've
obvioudly made some differences to it... button configuration, and thouse
changes are made to editor, but Page congig is still displaying old
config... etc.

So I doubt it is a database problem, because all changes are there... and I
did try to clear both cashes.

Another thing is happening with phpmyadmin when I'm trying to upload
an .sql. After running for a while it exceeds some limit of 300 seconds,
and that's it.

I haven't got a clue what's going on!?
