Well, there's one thing I remember. I once had problems with a specific 2.x
version of the GD library.
After all I found out that TYPO3 works around some problems with the
function imagecopyresized(), but this fix didn't work proper, instead my
native function would have worked very well.
Finally, Kasper made this feature configurable. Go to the Install Tool and
set TYPO3_CONF_VARS[GFX][gdlib_2] to "no_imagecopyresized_fix".
