[Typo3-linux] GDLib seems fine in installtool but graphicalmenu on testsite fails!

rpm -q freetype

rpm -qa | grep font

should be lots of them, in particular ghostscript-fonts, tetex-fonts urw-fonts

WBEL4 is RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 built from the source minus
RedHat's proprietory stuff, it is much closer to Fedora Core 1-2
though (new kernel, etc.). Anyways, since you are on a RedHat, go
ahead and try if the RPMs work for you - http://typo3.mitka.us .
They're 3.7 but it'll help to diagnose whether the problem is the
system or some bug in 3.8.

Now that we are talking of it - I do remember something like this came
up early after 3.8 was released... Let me dig in my emails a bit while
you are playing with the RPMS.

As a side note, I would highly recommend CentOS over White Box.
