[Typo3-linux] No pages are found on the rootlevel! ??

Dale,

First of all - the error I see in the front end is "No template
found!", not "No pages are found on the rootlevel!" as you said
before. Looking at the backend, I can tell that even if it was a
Quickstart Installation before, you have deleted all pages out of it
and that indeed deleted the template as well.

You see, unlike other CMS, in Typo3 a page is not just a container for
your content, but also a container for _everything_, including for
example address and news records and templates. So, if you delete the
root page you delete the root template as well.

What I would advise is either to reload Quickstart (and do it into a
new and clean MySQL database), or if you feel like you are ready to
build your own template, get the Dummy package, the "Modern Template
Building" tutorial from the documentation area at typo3.org and try
following it.
