http://us2.php.net/features.safe-mode , the part that talks about
safe_mode_exec_dir configuration parameter.

And why would you have PHP in safe mode if you are on VPS anyway?
(Just an offtopic question). Or, the technology has gone so far that
people buy VPS accounts and resell web hosting on them;)))?
