[Typo3-linux] Testsite package empty upon installation

I had the same problems trying to install the Quickstart package using both 3.7 and 3.8. No matter what I tried, I always ended up with an empty database. Eventually what I did was to use myPHPAdmin to run the database.sql file located in the typo3conf directory. I imported it and ran the script. Then I had all of the data. I went back and rand the install utilities and things worked from there.
