[Typo3-linux] FreeBSD and phpinfo on a new web host?

I have FreeBSD on my Webhost as well and not noticed any problems related
to this OS. TYPO3 "sees" Linux and since I use Linux in my business
environment, except for the external web server, I didn't notice any
remarkable difference.
Your proposed host has safe_mode off, which seems to be a good thing. You
may also look at which MySQL version you would have, in my experience more
important than the OS. I believe > 4.0.18 would be preferable (I have
4.0.18). Also, shell access would be nice, although you might use phpshell
since safe_mode is off.

The only problem I had, see this thread
http://typo3.org/documentation/mailing-lists/install-linux-archive/thread/110128038/
is probably not OS-related , as this occured with other people in other
threads.
