Well, the error says that your PHP does not have GIF support. If you're
on GNU/Linux, then either recompile PHP with GDlib or possibly check that
you have ImageMagick available. Depending on your distro you may need to
install a PHP module rather than compiling it in. Check with your distro
on how to get image support into PHP. You can also try turning off using
GIF images in the Typo3 install screen (tell it to use only PNG images).

p.s. It would be nice if you didn't include several KB of Microsoft-HTML
with each message you post to the newsgroup/mailing list. It creates a
message that is about 20 times the original size without any benefit.
