[Typo3-linux] TYPO3 and PHPSUEXEC, CGI PROBLEMS

I have been using TYPO3 successfully for many months now with few problems.
Recently my host changed it's PHP from an Apache module to PHPSUEXEC. I
searched through the archives and found this posting of most help:

http://typo3.org/1423+M5051340c74c.0.html?&tx_maillisttofaq_pi1[answered_onl
y]=0&tx_maillisttofaq_pi1[sword]=4.3.2

or

I am now able to bring my TYPO3 site back up, no more "Cannot find
configuration. This file is probably executed from the wrong location.", but
it seems the backend cannot find its path. Whenever I go into the backend
and type in my password and username, it give me a 404 error. In the logs
it shows "The script not found or unable to stat:
/home/xyzname/public_html/alt_main.php"

What do I need to check or change in order for typo3 to look in the correct
path for alt_main.php? I assume it has to do with the definition changes I
made...

Thanks in advance,
Jim Tomas
