[Typo3-linux] Problem: Freetype and Solaris

Hallo, 

we're trying to install Typo3 on Solaris, but we got a problem with
Freetype. Like shown in the SuSE-based install guide, we installed all the
packages for solaris and compiled the tar-balls. Until here theres no
problem. But when working with typo3 (or looking at phpinfo) Freetype is not
found.

Has anyone an idea, why GD does not find freetype? Are additional packages
needed? Special settings?
