[Typo3-linux] error using install script (build_old.sh)

Hi Folks,

i downloaded the install script build_old.sh from www.lleuchter.de.
When it comes to the point where php gets installed it stops giving the following errors.
--with-tiff-dir=/usr/local/typo3: No such file or directory
--with-pdflib-dir=/usr/local/typo3: No such file or directory

OK i understand what \\\'No such file or directory\\\' means ;)
But the directory definitly exists, the installation script created it and installed stuff in it.

Any hints how to get this done?

My Box:
SuSE 8.1 Pro, Kernel 2.4.19-4GB / i686
