Thanks a lot Dmitry,
You are right! I didn't install php-mysql package (stupid me).
The installation somehow works now since I got the install tool screen. But I still got
the following message on my apache error_log:
PHP Warning: mysql_list_tables(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in
/var/www/html/typo3_src-4.0.2/t3lib/class.t3lib_db.php on line 967
It looks like php is still complaining. How to fix this one?
