Gerade eben kam eine Mitteilung auf der Core-Liste:

The TYPO3 Community has released TYPO3 CMS 7.0 on tuesday, the first
version within the CMS7 development cycle.

CMS7 is focused on User Experience, Strong Defaults and Cleanup of
Unmaintained Code. A LTS release of the CMS7 development cycle is
planned for fall 2015."
