[TYPO3-german] tx_news erweitern

Hallo Liste, 

ich möchte tx_news um eigene Felder erweitern und lese gerade das hier durch: 
http://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/extensions/news/Main/Tutorial/ExtendingNews/Index.html

Prinzipiell klar, ich kann nur einen Schritt nicht nachvollziehen:

Tell EXT:news about it.

EXT:news still doesn't now anything about the extension workshop. Therefore create the fileEXT:workshop/Resources/Private/extend-news.txt with the content

Domain/Model/News
As explanation: Add per line the path to the file you want to extend

wie kann das funktionieren? Kann ich irgendwo nachlesen, welches Prinzip dahinter steht?
