Es scheint gelöst zu sein. Dank des Tipps von Peter habe ich weiter in 
der lib.parseFunc_RTE geforscht und habe noch

lib.parseFunc_RTE.externalBlocks := addToList(small)
lib.parseFunc_RTE.externalBlocks.small.stripNL = 1

angefügt.
