vielleicht hast du irgendwo noBlur = 1 gesetzt und onfocus wird dadurch entfernt? Für FF kannst du 
übrigens :focus {outline:solid 0;) ins Stylesheet schreiben, das entfernt diese gestrichelten Rahmen 
dort.
