Seltsam. Denn wenn ich die bisher übungshalber bearbeitete
dummy-3.8.1-Website aufrufe, dann klappt das mittels
http://localhost/typo3/dummy-3.8.1/
woraus ich messerscharf geschlossen habe, daß es bei einer Umbenennung des
neuen dummy-Verzeichnisses dann eben http://localhost/typo3/pth/ heissen
müsse.

Das legt ja auch die Verzeichnisstruktur nahe:
/var/www/typo3
worin die beiden Verzeichnisse
dummy-3.8.1 und
typo3_src-3.8.1
liegen.

Wenn ich also typo3_src-3.8.1 am gleichen Ort lasse und dummy-3.8.1
umbenenne in pth (bzw. einen Symlink namens pth anlege), dann sollte das
doch funktionieren - oder stehe ich da per Denkfehler auf dem Schlauch?

Das war einfach ein 404 Object not found.
