[TYPO3-german] Extension-Installation / Update schlägt fehl - leere localconf

Hallo Liste,

ich habe bei meiner Typo3 4.0.2 Installation das Problem, das Updates 
oder Installationen von Extensions nicht mehr funktionieren. So bald ich 
  das tue, kommt die lapidare Fehlermeldung "Database error" (FE und BE) 
und die Datei localconf.php in typo3conf/ ist leer! Ich muß dann jedes 
mal die zuvor gesicherte localconf zurückkopieren und die temp*-Files 
löschen...

Weiß jemand, woran das liegt und wie man das abstellen kann?
