[TYPO3-english] [Extension: logging] catch fatal errors

Hi all,

In a typo3 project of the version 7.6 I installed the extension logging of Georg
Ringer.
https://github.com/georgringer/logging/

On the error level incl. Fatal errors I would gladly send emails to the admin.
In principle, the error handler (FatalHandler) of the used MONOLOG package used
can process such errors.

But I miss the approach how to register that in the local configuration.
My $GLOBALS['TYPO3_CONF_VARS']['MONOLOG'] configuration settings do not handle
upcoming errors.

Is it sufficient to register a new LOG writer?
Or is it necessary to write a new error handler?

Thanks for any kind of hints.

Ulrich
